The Boys & Girls Club of Weslaco Inc

Curriculum-based mental health prevention programs include:

Targeted services and tracking through Comprehensive Case Management;
Small Group Psycho-educational Intervention and Skills Building;
Crisis Resolution through individual and group counseling;
Family Support through information and referral services;
and Community Outreach and Group Presentations on mental health topics.

All services are provided by qualified and trained professional mental health staff.

These services are free to members and families who attend BGCW. Services Y&FSS offers are also provided to school-age children and their families living in Sevilla Apartment Housing located in Weslaco. We have unit directors placed in elementary schools throughout Weslaco, providing students with skills-building and mental health prevention programs. Memorial, Silva, A.N. Tony Rico, and PFC Mario Ybarra are the current schools.

Increasing awarenes and understanding of mental health by decreasing the stigma attatched to it and encourge dialogues through community and school presentations, outreach and awareness events that lead to change.
